What documents are required to go on a trip?

You will need to provide a completed GoServ Global trip application form, passport, and background check

How long is a mission trip?

Mission trips vary in length. Your trip coordinator will arrange the time with the in-country director. You can expect a trip to range between 5 -10 days on average.

Where will I stay?

In some countries you will have the opportunity to stay on the mission base in others your trip coordinator will find safe and economical lodging for your group.

What food will we eat?

You can bring prepackaged items or otherwise plan to eat local and ethnic foods of the culture you are in.

How long are flights?

Flights can range from 8-20 hours depending on the destination country of your mission.

Can I bring my children?

What does it cost to go on a mission trip?

Mission trips vary in cost depending upon flights, time overseas, food, lodging and projects while you are there. You can anticipate costs to range between $2,500-$5,000

What will I do while on the trip?

All mission trips are spirit led times and have unique goals and experiences. Oftentimes when someone goes on a short term mission they expect to serve by providing physical labor. Some mission trips will have goals to support the in-country ministry by doing physical labor to help with the ministry. Usually the biggest “doing” is encouraging the full-time missionaries, blessing them, and building relationships with those they serve daily.

What will the weather be like?

Most of the places that GoServ has a presence in are very hot climates.

What medical information do I need?

Each country has different requirements for travel. Your trip coordinator will inform you of any medical information or needs you will need to bring with you on your trip.

You will need to discuss bringing your children with your trip coordinator and the in country director of the country you are serving in.
