Known By Angels: Luke 12:8-9
““8) And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; 9) but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.” Luke 12:8-9
These are interesting verses. Whoever openly confesses Jesus before other people, Jesus confesses them before the angels of God. News travels fast in heaven. They celebrate.
This is consistent with Luke 15:7 and 10. There is joy in heaven over every sinner who repents.
According to Hebrews 1:14, angels are responsible to minister to those who shall inherit salvation. The moment you were born again, you were added to the daily angelic work detail. They actively work on your behalf.
By contrast, those who deny Jesus are denied by Jesus before the angels of God. Herein is sobering truth for the unbeliever; they do not deny God, He denies them! They are eternally lost.
The demons celebrate the unbelievers. They are free to deceive, torment and abuse them. They await the moment of death to drag them into hell.
Luke 16:19-31 tells the story of the rich man and Lazarus. At the moment of death, they were carried away to radically different eternal destinies. Angels carried away the soul and spirit of Lazarus. I can only imagine the screeching and sheathing demons that dragged off the rich man.
The gospel of Luke more than any other gospel pull back the curtain on the spiritual realm. Jesus was constantly preaching the gospel and delivering people from demonic oppression. It appears that He turned the new believers over to angelic caretakers.
I have been present numerous times as people passed out of this life. The composure of those who profess Jesus is radically different from those who deny Him.
I openly confess Jesus Christ as my Savior, Lord and best friend. I have been the recipient of angelic intervention numerous times. I never walk alone. The Holy Spirit is within me and angels surround me. I fear God and not the adversary! Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.
