Lifeline Ministries’ mission statement is in its name. Life ( Lasting Investment Family Eternity) Our goal is to make a lasting investment that will impact people’s families and add to the Kingdom of God for all of eternity. We want to plant as many seeds of the gospel as we can. Under the umbrella of Lifeline Ministries, we currently host these outreaches: Pay it forward, Women’s craft night, family sports night, Kids ministry, and hosting teams. The Building is our home base to host these ministries and more as we grow!
Started as an outreach to the hungry people on the street, but it now functions in two parts. We do a hospital outreach and street ministry through the Pay It Forward program.
Our hospital outreach started one evening when God provided 236 meals to handout. We headed to the street to hand them out, but it was raining, leaving the street empty. My husband, Manuel, had the idea to head to the hospital to hand the meals out. At the government run hospitals, they don’t supply meals, food, or drinks. Patients have to rely on family members or friends to bring them food; if no one brings them food, they don’t eat.
As Manuel was handing out the meals, one older woman asked if she could take his hand and pray for him. She shared how she hadn’t eaten all day and was asking God to provide something for her to eat; he was an answer to her prayers.
We feel led to plant as many seeds for the gospel as we can. Now when we go to the hospital, we have two teams. Team A serves food to meet the physical needs, and team B prays with people.
Hospital staff have approached us about other physical needs that some of the low income families have, such as diapers, medication, and bed sheets to name a few. The needs are great, but God is bigger! As this ministry keeps growing, we can’t wait to see how many more lives get impacted for God’s glory.
Food to the street! The second part of Pay It Forward is to bring food to low-income and homeless individuals and street sweepers. The words of my nephew when he visited and helped hand out the food in the street still ring in my ears. “We handed out 100 meals but there are still so many more who need to eat.” His words broke our hearts, and this Bible verse came to mind, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” Matthew 9:37
One of our prayers is that God would keep raising up people who will stand for Him. We are called to plant the seeds; with every meal that is handed out, we give a gospel track with the church address. Our prayer is one day there will be a revival over our city.
Lifeline has given us a home base to do this ministry.
We want to be a place where kids can come and be a kid! We have been blessed to host a number of kids’ events. At the kids’ outreaches, we sing, have a Bible lesson, play games, have a drawing, and eat. We never know who has eaten that day, so we want to make sure they leave having been fed.
We love doing drawings because it’s a way to bless kids without picking favorites. We always pray that God would get the stuff to the kids who need it, and He is so faithful. At our Easter party, one of the boys won about 3 toys. He left over the moon. He started to bring his family to church and the other outreach events. God is winning his family over because he won three toys.
At family sports night everyone is welcome to come! We want to create a time for families to play together! There is a time for kids to play, then the men and women. It’s also a time when we invite people to come out and hear more about God. I heard someone say once how special to it is to see everyone mixed up playing together. I loved that! Young to old, that’s the body of Christ!
People just like you have experienced life transformation by stepping out of their comfort zone to serve in Peru through short term missions. These trips give a hands-on opportunity to meet needs and share God’s love. You will broaden your worldview, and develop relationships with those you serve and serve alongside. Hannah & Manuel invite you to come serve alongside them on a short term mission trip.
Manuel’s family served in river ministry until he was 4 years old, then they passed the river ministry to a younger couple. His family dedicated their time to their home church in the city. His parents lived out the Bible verse, to “give thanks in everything.” If they had an abundance of food, they blessed others and when they had nothing to eat, they praised God. When they had money, they would bless other, and when the money ran out, they would praise God. He saw God protect and provide for his family in ways only God could do. In 2015, Manuel decided to go into full time ministry.
Hannah is the sixth child out of nine children. Growing up, she traveled with her family all over the USA, doing one week church revivals. Her dad would preach to the adults, and her mom would do children’s ministry. On one of those church revivals, she stayed to listen to her dad preach. Something clicked, “My parents faith cannot save me. I am a sinner, and I need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.” That evening, she went to talk with her dad. He walked her through the gospel and led her in a prayer. She was seven years old when she put her faith in Jesus Christ.
In 2010, she came on her first trip to Iquitos, Peru. God broke her heart for the kids. She didn’t speak any Spanish, yet she was outside playing with the kids every day.
In 2013-2014, Hannah did an 18-month internship through International Messengers with Nelton & Bethany Noriega.
In 2014-2015, she went to RGBI Linguistics school to learn Spanish.
In 2015, Hannah returned to Iquitos, Peru, as a full-time missionary with International Messengers.
In 2017, Manuel and Hannah started dating, then got engaged.
June 2018, they were married. They welcomed their son, Daniel, in October 2019, and their son Timothy in January 2025.
