Good Friday: Hebrews 13:12
Today is Good Friday. It reminds me of the text before us in the book of Hebrews; “Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.” (Hebrews 13:12)
I am eternally grateful for what Jesus did for me on the cross. The book of Hebrews lays out the theology of His identity, birth, mission, priesthood, sacrifice, suffering, atonement and resurrection.
Having devoted the past four months to a detailed study of the book of Hebrews, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ are extra meaningful to me this year. The fog is removed. The whole Bible converges on the cross. The Creator became my Redeemer!
