The Promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father: Acts 1:4-5
“4) Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; 5) for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”” Acts 1:4-5
The promise of the Father is what separates the Old Testament from the New Testament. Because the ministry of the Holy Spirit is so important, Satan blinds Christians to the many Scriptures about the Spirit filled life.
If he cannot prevent a person from becoming a Christian, he will double down his effort to keep them from growing as a Christian. He actively blinds people from understanding the ministry of the Holy Spirit. I have seen Christians literally “zone out” during study’s about the Holy Spirit. Satan is actively blinding them to this crucial subject.
What is our recourse? We are going to take our time and study this subject in depth by looking at many Scriptures about the New Testament promise of the Holy Spirit.
