The Fear of the Lord
““The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7
This is a crucial verse. The fear of the Lord is conditional on the true knowledge of God.
That sounds elementary, but according to Romans 1:18-32, Satan’s battle against human civilization is to remove the knowledge of true Creator God.
He works at this on many fronts. Everything from atheism to false religions steers people away from a fear of God. Humanism is fueled by the same goal. The battle is real.
The end result is that mankind is given over to foolishness. This happens both on an individual and collective basis.
Proverbs 1:7 is often proceeded by personal salvation and nation awakening. Knowing God is the corner stone of the fear of the Lord.
