The Last Plea From the Holy Spirit
““16) I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” 17) The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.” Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭
Verse seventeen is the last time the Holy Spirit is mentioned in the Bible. His last plea is “Come.” He is joined with the bride and those who hear the revelation in saying “Come.”
According to the context, it could be understood in two ways. First, at the end of verse 17, it could be taken as an invitation to those who are thirsty to come. That is very consistent with the Holy Spirit drawing people to Jesus
Second, according to verse 20, it could be a plea for Jesus to come and set up His Kingdom. It say; “20) He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”
Keep in mind, we are at the end of the age or Epoch of the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Spirit and the bride are both eagerly awaiting the second coming of Jesus.
I agree with the Holy Spirit and say; “Come, Lord Jesus.”
