The Marvel of Human Life: Psalm 139:13-16
“13) For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. 14) I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. 15) My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; 16) Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.” Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬-‭16‬ ‭
In these verses, David expounds on the power and glory of God coming together in human conception and development in the womb. He recognized the blueprint and design for every human life was ordained by God before conception.
Suddenly, omniscience and omnipotence are dancing together. You have value. You were not a mistake. You are the crown of Gods creation. There is something exceptional about humanity.
Modern science has punctuated the miraculous complexity and wonder of humanity. No other life form on earth comes close to the wonder of mankind. There is a surpassing marvel in the existence of humanity.
If you struggle with self acceptance, spend some time in these verses. You are a miracle. You have value and purpose. You have potential beyond your understanding.
Sin and Satan want to destroy you. Jesus and the Holy Spirits want to redeem and transform you. The place to start is by embracing God and His plan for your life.
