Planet Earth has been Kissed with the Glory of God: Psalm 65
“9) You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth. 10) You water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth. 11) You have crowned the year with Your bounty, And Your paths drip with fatness. 12) The pastures of the wilderness drip, And the hills gird themselves with rejoicing. 13) The meadows are clothed with flocks And the valleys are covered with grain; They shout for joy, yes, they sing.” Psalms 65:9-13
The earth is a very unique place. David was not an astronomer and had no knowledge of solar systems or galaxies, yet he was overwhelmed with the existence of life here on planet earth.
David marveled at the mystery of life and attributed its source to God. What impressed him most was the abundance of life within the annual ebb and flow of the seasons.
Modern astronomers and scientists confirm David’s observations. as immense as the universe is, the search for life elsewhere at this point has been in vain.
Planet earth truly has been kissed with the glory of God and abundance of life. The mystery of the biosphere causes me to join David in giving credit, glory and praise to God.
