Fear is a Phantom: Proverbs 3:25-26
“25) Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; 26) For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.” Proverbs 3:25-26
We live by faith and not fear. Solomon had insight into how the adversary uses fear, anxiety and threats from the wicked to knock us off balance and cause us to panic.
1 Peter 5:8-9 pictures the devil as a roaring lion. His roars can be loud and real, but we resist Him firm in our faith!
Rather than falling into an emotional frenzy, Solomon nailed it in Proverbs 3:26; “For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.” When fear and anxiety come knocking, double down in your faith and make God your focus.
I like the short idiom; “Fear knocked at the door, faith answered… and no one was there!” Fear always vanishes when unwavering faith in God steps forward. Fear is a Phantom.
