Make Your Search Intensional
“1) My son, if you will receive my words And treasure my commandments within you, 2) Make your ear attentive to wisdom, Incline your heart to understanding; 3) For if you cry for discernment, Lift your voice for understanding; 4) If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures; 5) Then you will discern the fear of the Lord And discover the knowledge of God.” Proverbs‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭
The search for wisdom and understanding must be intentional. In the process of making it a top priority in your life, it will lead you to the discovery of God.
This process includes the pursuit of truth and not mere knowledge. There is no end to knowledge. Much of it is laced with deception. But the knowledge based in truth will lead to Jesus Christ.
Truth is a person. In John 14:6, Jesus said; “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.” Finding Him is more precious than gold or silver. Walking with Him puts you on the path of wisdom and understanding.
It is impossible to sincerely search for wisdom and understanding without being pointed to the God of Creation. The Spirit of God has ways of drawing people to the Gospel.
Jesus is both the starting point and destination of true wisdom and knowledge. Pursue Him as the greatest treasure in life.
