Storms hit across Iowa on Sunday, May 17, 2026, including a wind event with possible tornados in Kingsley-Pierson area of Western Iowa. No reported injuries.

Barb & Dennis of the GoServ Global Domestic Team received the call to go work with the Emergency Management team of Plymouth County to help. They have served a few weeks and currently are taking a break. More updates soon.

Current needs:

  • Prayer
  • Funds
  • Volunteers

Volunteers with skills in equipment operation, chainsaw, or CDL holders are especially appreciated. At this time, you can learn more about volunteering through text message with Barb Meister; fill out our form to get connected.

Ways to pray:

  • Insurance companies have different policies for the type of natural disaster. A straight line wind event can have different coverage than a tornado, for example. Please be praying for families affected, for their provision.
  • We served 2 weeks in the Kingsley-Pierson area, at no cost to the families there. We need funds to help cover the expenses, as well as funds to care for our equipment to deploy again if needed.
