Unity of the Spirit
“1) Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2) with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3) being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4) There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 6) one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:1-6
Spirit filled believers have a basis for unity. The Jesus in me is the same Jesus who is in you. The Holy Spirit in you is the same Holy Spirit who is in me.
Jesus said; “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”” (John 13:35) When believers fight, divide and slander one another, our light and witness to the world goes out.
It takes humility, denying the flesh and a single focus on Christ to love and honor one another. Any kingdom divided against itself will not stand.
The enemy works to divide the body of Christ. He is doing a great job. Genuine believers are very divided today. The work of the Holy Spirit brings together and does not tear apart.
