The Holy Spirit is the “Daddy Cry” for the Father.
“6) Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭
One of the immediate ministries of the Holy Spirit in the born-again believer is to place a longing for the Father within the new believer. This translates to prayer and worship.
I like the story Samaritan woman recorded in John 4:1-43. She was religious even though here life was out of control. At one point she asked Jesus about the right place to worship. His response cut through the layers of typical religious debate.
“21) Jesus *said to her, “Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22) You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23) But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 24) God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John‬ ‭4‬:‭21‬-‭24‬)
It is the indwelling Holy Spirit that enables the believer to worship in spirit and in truth. Worship and communion with God is a precious value included in the Promise of the Father.
Spirit filled worship can happen any time and any place. The Father longs for intimate relationship with His sons and daughters.
