The Promise of the Holy Spirit through John the Baptist
He was known as the forerunner of Jesus. John the Baptist came to prepare the way for the Messiah. His message about Jesus was always the same, “He will baptize with the Holy Spirit.”
Take time and study the following five texts of Scripture:
Matthew 3:11-12 Mark 1:7-8 Luke 3:15-17 John 1:29-34 Acts 1:5
The conclusion is overwhelming. Jesus would baptize people with the Holy Spirit. The theme was repeated so often God does not want us to miss this vital truth. It cannot be ignored.
