Good afternoon!
This is a little report about the amazing things God is doing trough our ministry in Guatemala!
This past month, we had a visit of two very special couples, first Joe and Marianne Lukes, and then Mark and Kelly Lee.
We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary since we started doing ministry in Guatemala.
From this 10 years, I have been here most of the time, flying to Mexico where my family is 3 weeks every year.
It is incredible all the amazing things and all the seeds that have been planted through the many different ways we work with people in our little town Nueva Concepción.
CHURCH

For many months I can say that probably this was the most challenging part of our ministry! We try many things to reactivate our church, but we didn’t have good results, this situation weighed on me, because the most important part of our ministry was, or at least looked at times, that it was the least successful.
And last year I invited Luis to help, and he was ready to take the challenge of the church seriously, because we need a real shepherd to see to the sheep and take them in a good direction. Luis was a pastor for 4 years in the past. His wife likes to sing and serve in the church and she is a daughter of a pastor too.
We are getting together having an attendance of 20 people sometimes 30, but it feels beautiful to see the interest of people to come to the church again!
Prayer request
:
:For these new steps that we are taking as a church and for Luis’s life and his wife to be patient in the Lord.
School

In the school we are very blessed!
Now that we have the basketball court with a roof, we hold a meeting with our parents to bring ideas of how we can do a raffle to get money towards the field equipment and other needs, all our parents in the school were happy to be part of this project. We do this to develop a sense of belonging in our parents and staff.
It’s beautiful to work together. After all the work, we sit down together and see what we just built together. This will also make more connections and better relationships between our parents in school.
Prayer request
For our school staff, we want them to see the school not only as a job but as a ministry.
Kitchen

This year we are adding a fruit to better the breakfasts in the school, this month we use the garden for some breakfasts in the school but also to make some ice cream (guava flavored!).
Using the garden to do healthy breakfast, we have many children that can’t access healthy food.
Our goal is to help them grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.
GARDEN
In the garden we have tomatoes, we just planted 12 papayas, from the seed we plant. We have guava, lemon plantains and guava cucumbers, coconuts and tons of Zuchinnis. Mmm!
This year passion fruit is just flowering, I have the idea to preserve them in resin and send some for the banquet!
Eden 2 : eden two is another garden that we have 3 big grape plants, this place has a house that Kelly Lee cleaned in her visit, with the vision of starting to use the house, possibly for teams or any other ministry.
Plantains:

We are in the second round of our first plantation. When the first plantation finishes, we have to cut the plantain plant and leave the little ones growing for the next harvest, they recommend to do it 2 or three times and then replant from scratch.
We have been using plantains for the elderly, the kitchen in the school and a plantain business man has bought several times from our Plantation praise the Lord.
Elderly project construction
This last month we finish the septic, a bathroom and a shower. We are very positive to have a person living in there by the end of March. The team visiting us in March are going to help prepare the rooms, buy furniture, paint the place, and any other details.
Basketball field
This coming month also if everything goes right we are pouring the floor for the basketball field!
And this are great news!
We also need to weld and build the basket and the goal
Elderly project:
We have been delivering supplies every two weeks. We visit them every week and deliver medicine depending on the situation and supplies. Our visits are with the goal of them accepting Jesus as the Lord and Saviour.
We ask for general prayers for our elderlies; it is a heavy ministry and sometimes difficult. Every year we bury one or two of them since we started. We want them to find a new hope in Jesus Christ!!!
Les mando un abrazo fuerte en Cristo Jesús
