God has a Plan for Human Forgiveness: Psalm 143
“1) Hear my prayer, O Lord, Give ear to my supplications! Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness! 2) And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no man living is righteous.
10)Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” Psalms‬ ‭143‬:‭1‬-‭2‬, ‭10‬ ‭
David recognized the holiness of God as measured against the sinfulness of man. He knew that he was sinful and deserving of judgement.
But he also knew that God wanted to make Himself known to mankind and that He had a plan for human forgiveness and redemption. Keep in mind, David lived way before the time of Christ. He had glimpses of the coming gospel, but did not know it fully.
This Psalm is about both confession and hope. He acknowledged His sin, but set His hope on the goodness and mercy of God. He sincerely cried out to God for help.
Later it was said of David that he was a man after Gods own heart. God accepted him. He was a man of faith in God.
