The Majesty of God: Psalm 113
“1) Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, Praise the name of the Lord. 2) Blessed be the name of the Lord From this time forth and forever. 3) From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the Lord is to be praised. 4) The Lord is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. 5) Who is like the Lord our God, Who is enthroned on high, 6) Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth?” Psalms 113:1-6
This Psalm lifts up the surpassing greatness and majesty of God. His name is to be praised because of His surpassing greatness.
Most people suffer from a small view of God. Ten of the twelve spies suffered from a small view of God. The army of Israel suffered from a small view of God when they stood before Goliath. The religious leaders in the days of Jesus suffered from a small view of God. Many Christians who accept naturalism suffer from a small view of God.
This Psalm was written to lift up the mighty name of God. It was written to acknowledge, praise and glorify Him above all. Apart from this view of God, your faith will always be small.
