Reverence For God: Luke 12:4-5
““4) I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. 5) But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!” Luke 12:4-5
Many have an unhealthy fear of Satan. He might be able to kill the body but then his damage is done.
Rather, we are to fear God. He alone has authority to cast into hell. Yes indeed, He has authority even to cast the devil and his angels into eternal hell.
Jesus warned about hell more than he talked about heaven. All will stand before God as an eternal judge. He deserves our fear and reverence.
