The Prayer Life of Jesus: Luke 5:16
“16) But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.” Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬
“12) It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.” Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬
Time and again Luke makes special note of the prayer life of Jesus. Keep in mind, Luke was not present to witness these events. He was an historian. He was digging up important information on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
One area that surfaced over and over again related to His prayer life and frequent times in solitude with His Father. The people Luke interviewed had personal contact with Jesus. They were moved by His prayer life.
Such was the case of every man or woman of God throughout history whom God worked through to make a mark this world. Spiritual power is always connected to prayer.
I will not labor this point, but fruitful ministry and spiritual power are always anchored in prayer. If your prayer life is shallow, your life will be shallow.
