Unmasking Wicked Workers Jude 1:8
“8) Yet in the same manner these men, also by dreaming, defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile angelic majesties.” Jude 1:8
Jude now compares the false workers of his day to the depraved fallen angels and sinful people of the past who met swift judgement. They were driven by dreams and fantasy’s and refused to respond to any warnings.
2 Peter 2:12 points out they are “like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed…” They are in such immoral sinful bondage they no longer respond to reason or warning. They are slaves to their sinful passions. In the process, Jude says their “flesh is defiled.” Their conscience has been seared by sin. (1 Timothy 4:2)
But keep in mind, according to the context of both Jude and 2 Peter chapter 2, these are religious people. But they reject the concept of repentance from their sinful ways and instead work to turn Christianity into a religious system that embraces, excuses and endorses their sinful ways.
They reject all authority, including the authority of the Bible. They twist and distort the Bible to accommodate their own passions and evil desires. They have no problem banning and burning they Bible because it exposes sin and their sinful ways.
They also revile angelic majesties. They reject the full testimony of Scripture about multitudes of angelic interventions God sent throughout history to judge sin and affirm righteousness. They laugh at the story of angels destroying Sodom and Gomorrah as recorded in Genesis 19 and mock all records of The Angel of the Lord appearing in holiness throughout the Old Testament.
They worship and listen instead to the fallen demons who disguise themselves as angels of light. The whole book of Revelation is a joke to them with all the warnings of pending judgement carried out by Gods angelic beings against the antichrist and his violence.
End time warnings and prophecy means nothing to them. They are bent instead on building their own secular and humanistic utopia on earth with no care about its satanic origin. As Jude stated in verse 4, this movement is led by people who have been marked out beforehand for this condemnation.
Satan indeed has his evil workers in the world. According to Luke 4:6, he gives great authority and power to those willing to bow their knee to him. This includes many in government and positions of great influence.
Jude recognized the battle raging in his time and what was coming in future generations. Stay tuned as Jude continues to unmask these wicked workers.
