Truth Encounter: Matthew 21:43-46
“43) Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it. 44) And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.” 45) When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them. 46) When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet.” Matthew‬ ‭21‬:‭43‬-‭46‬ ‭
You and I have a choice as to how we respond to truth. We can accept it and change. We can ignore it and fool ourselves into thinking that everything is ok. Or, we can fight against it and try to kill the messenger of truth.
The chief priests and Pharisees took the last option. They decided to seize and kill Jesus. It was relatively easy to crucify Him, it was impossible to keep Him in the grave. In the end, they were scattered like dust.
I encourage you to invite the truth of the gospel into your life. Don’t try to change it, instead let it change you. Avoid the temptation to distort the biblical revelation of Jesus Christ to fit your morals or values. Jesus does not change.
If you reject Him, you will dry up and drift away like dust in the wind. If you surrender to Him, your life will begin to bear abundant fruit. The choice is yours.
