Threshermans Safe T HomePart of what the Domestic branch of GoServ Global does is to help serve local communities using our resources, equipment, and volunteers. Often this occurs after a natural disaster, such as our recent response in Eagle Grove, IA after the storm in July. But when we are not actively responding to disasters we often serve communities in other ways.

In addition to helping prepare the grounds for the show and helping to clean up and tear down afterward, GoServ Global will be running a food booth during the upcoming Albert City Threshermen and Collectors Show. Our food booth will be serving out of a Safe T Home. There is an average attendance of 15,000 over three days at this show. It is known for field demonstrations, some of which include threshing wheat, sawmill demonstrations, corn shelling, a year of farming in 60 minutes, and others.

This year is expected to have a large attendance; there are two themes (Pride of Iowa and Horsepower). Two Guinness Book world record attempts will be happening as well. The first attempt will be the greatest number of mules plowing simultaneously. This will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12. The second record attempt will be for the largest number of draft horses plowing simultaneously. This will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13. We hope to see you there, please come by the Safe T Home to say hello!
