They Are Very Different: Proverbs 10:23-25
““23) Doing wickedness is like sport to a fool, And so is wisdom to a man of understanding.” 24) What the wicked fears will come upon him, But the desire of the righteous will be granted. 25) When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.” Proverbs 10:23-25
Doing wickedness is like playing a game to a fool. It comes naturally for him. So also is wisdom to a man of understanding. It is common sense to him.
What the wicked fears will come upon him. The conscience of the wicked carries guilt and knows he will one day be caught and punished. By contrast, the desire of the righteous will be granted.
The storms of life will destroy the wicked, but the righteous have a foundation that will endure. Jesus spoke about this in Matthew 7:24-27. Build your life on the rock.
