Their Speech is Radically Different: Proverbs 10:13-14
“13) On the lips of the discerning, wisdom is found, But a rod is for the back of him who lacks understanding. 14) Wise men store up knowledge, But with the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.” Proverbs 10:13-14
Solomon again focuses on speech. There is a huge difference between the way the righteous and the wicked speak.
Their vocabulary is different. Their subject matter is different. Their research is different. Their grasp of truth is different. Their life circumstances become radically different.
The wise store up sound wisdom that leads to peace and security in the land. The foolish spouts all kinds of baseless folly that lacks truth and understanding and it quickly leads to ruin.
Beware who your teachers, mentors and leaders are in life. They spout flowery words but they lead to much hurt, pain and ruin. They have a life philosophy that is full of holes.
