The Crown of God’s Creation: Proverbs 8:31-36
“31) Rejoicing in the world, His earth, And having my delight in the sons of men. “32) Now therefore, O sons, listen to me, For blessed are they who keep my ways. 33) Heed instruction and be wise, And do not neglect it. 34) Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at my doorposts. 35) For he who finds me finds life And obtains favor from the Lord. 36) But he who sins against me injures himself; All those who hate me love death.”” Proverbs 8:31-36
Did you notice what just happened? Of everything God created, He made mankind His delight. Why?
Because only mankind was created in His image. Only people can be educated, learn wisdom, communicate and make moral decisions. Every person has the capacity for fellowship with God. Human potential is incredible.
No wonder verse 35 says; “For he who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord.” The purpose of the book of Proverbs and the Bible is to prepare men and women to walk with God. Mankind is the crown of Gods creation.
Unfortunately, all people sin and fall short of this relationship with God. That’s why Jesus came, died on the cross and rose from the dead. He came to fulfill the gospel and make a way for people to be restored to fellowship with God. Trace this theme through the Bible. Make it part of your life story.
