Wealth Gained By Wisdom: Proverbs 8:17-21
“17) I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me. 18) Riches and honor are with me, Enduring wealth and righteousness. 19) My fruit is better than gold, even pure gold, And my yield better than choicest silver. 20) I walk in the way of righteousness, In the midst of the paths of justice, 21) To endow those who love me with wealth, That I may fill their treasuries.” Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭17‬-‭21‬
The broader context is talking about wisdom. It is personified in these verses. It takes on human if not divine characteristics.
Such is the case with verse 17; “I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me.” At some point, wisdom develops a love bond with those who seek her. It is reciprocal.
As such, wisdom begins to pour out a kind of wealth that surpasses silver and gold. I reject the prosperity doctrine, but I fully acknowledge that God blesses those who love and seek Him.
It can happen on many levels, including wealth. But it also comes in righteousness, peace of mind, good health, joy, a clear conscious, freedom from the inner wars and a blessed family.
Health includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It is directly related to rebuking the devourer in every area of your life.
Wisdom helps you make wise decisions, good choices, sound investments and build healthy relationships. Based on the law of the sower as recorded in Galatians 6:7-8, these things have a way of being multiplied back to you.
So wisdom does love those who love her and gives riches, honor and life to those who embrace her. This is not lottery wealth, it is compounding blessings from right living and good choices.
