The Upright Path: Proverbs 4:10-13
“10) Hear, my son, and accept my sayings And the years of your life will be many. 11) I have directed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. 12) When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; And if you run, you will not stumble. 13) Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life.” Proverbs 4:10-13
A good education is valuable. A godly education is priceless. There is a difference.
The goal of education is not knowledge, but rather acquiring wisdom which leads to an upright life. This path cannot be attained apart from acceptance and reverence for God.
This path will lead and guide you during your entire life. It will watch over you. It will keep you from stumbling.
Verse thirteen says it well; “Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life.” Some things in life are worth protecting.
